PERFORMANCE ACTOR (STAGE) - ACT IIGo Back Enrol Now

Program: PERFORMANCE ACTOR (STAGE)
Program Group: ACT II View Synopsis

ACT II curriculum is written for children generally aged 6-8 years. This enrichment program not only helps develop acting, performance and communication skills, it extends language & reading skills, improves speaking in clear expressive English, improves co-ordination, encourages creativity, and enhances socialization and interpersonal skills.

In keeping with Acting Antics philosophy of "Self Discovery Through Performance", students audition for and perform in two plays a year. The first is specific to that group of students and may include a radio play play or a standard "blocked" play, the second is a gala performance involving all students at that venue.  In an Acting Antics play or gala performance every acting student receives a meaningful role with dialogue.

Play Synopsis

It’s Christmas morning and children all over the world are opening their presents. But wait... something is dreadfully wrong! Bob's got a Barbie and Beth's got a soldier, and what’s more, these toys can actually speak and they are not happy! How could this terrible mix-up have happened and who could be to blame? Could it be the mail room elves, perhaps it’s the toymaker elves, maybe Ollie in logistics finally got it wrong, or maybe Blitzen and his rebel reindeer have been up to their old tricks again? If you love Christmas and a good comedy you will love this Christmas fantasy.

Play Synopsis

Imagine being told by your parents, the King and Queen, that to save the Kingdom you have to find a wife! But not just any wife, she has to be a real princess and approved of by… YOUR MOTHER! The Queen orders the pompous Dukes of Tweedle to search the four corners of the realm for a princess worthy of her Prince Rupert. While his faithful friend the Jester and his fairy Godfather console Prince Rupert, the Tweedles embark upon an adventure to Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the frozen North, where they find 4 beautiful princesses. But will these princesses be good enough for the Queen? and why is the King keeping strangely silent? And who is Emmaline? She says she's a princess but she certainly doesn't act like one! And last but not least, who is "THE PEA" and what could she have to do with the final decision?
