ACT I curriculum is written for children generally aged 5-6 years. The combination of singing, movement, story telling and dramatic play act as tools in the development of listening skills, language & speech, motor skills, co-ordination, and learning to socialize and work in a group environment. Dress-Ups and puppetry are a fun creative element of this program. ACT I is the first building block in the pathway towards live performing.

Play Synopsis

Penny has set her heart on becoming a pirate, but nothing she does convinces Captain Sourpuss that she is ready, until one day the Captain and his band of scummy pirates are kidnapped by Murkala the Sea Monster. Is this Penny's chance to prove her worth? Can Penny and her best friend Pete talk Pearl the Oyster and her mermaids into helping them rescue the pirates, or will Murkala and the mermaids join forces to teach the pirates a lesson? Will Bumps the Barnacle and Whoops the Whale stop arguing long enough to help come up with a plan, or will they keep getting in the way? Join in this adventure on the high seas and find out!
